Since its inception in 1988, Forest Hills' Mother's Day Out & Weekday Preschool program has focused on helping young children begin their path of success by providing a stimulating learning environment at every stage of development. Our loving and skilled teachers provide hands-on learning experiences through art, reading, music, science, home living, manipulatives and physical education.
Mother's Day Out (MDO) & Weekday Preschool provides a loving Christian environment where children can grow intellectually, physically, spiritually and socially. It is our joy to help your child grow and mature in Christ and develop the skills he or she will need for elementary school.
We believe each child is a special gift from God, and we are excited that He has given us the opportunity to make a difference in young lives!
Our children participate in developmentally appropriate learning activities in the areas of language development and early literacy, science and nature, math and numbers, art, music, physical education and the Bible.
We use the Tennessee Early Learning Standards and our own classroom objectives to develop daily lessons for each age group. The day is divided into various activities such as center play, group learning, outside play, gym time, lunch, and rest time.
Our teachers also utilize their creativity, talents and experiences to provide enriching and fun learning environments. Classroom schedules and lesson plans are posted outside the classroom daily.
The program utilizes spacious classrooms, each with a restroom and sink, two outside playgrounds, an indoor playground, a big-wheel track, a rainy-day playroom with equipment and toys, a lunch room, a teacher resource room, a chapel and a library with more than 1,500 books! We emphasize maintaining a clean, safe environment to foster healthy growth and development.
The MDO program is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30am–2:30pm, and follows the Williamson County Schools calendar. Children in the MDO and preschool program may attend one or two days per week; children in the Pre-K program are required to attend two days per week.

We have seventeen wonderful and talented teachers: Two teachers in each of our six classrooms, a music teacher and a physical education teacher.
Our teachers have an average of 10 years teaching experience in preschool education and in the public school system. All of our lead teachers have bachelor's degrees.
Teacher-student ratios range from 1:4 for toddlers to 1:7 for four and five year-olds.
Our Mother's Day Out & Weekday Preschool program is managed by Amelia Roe and is supervised by a five-member overseeing committee and the ministerial leadership of Forest Hills Baptist Church.
We invite you to schedule a visit by emailing and observe our classrooms, meet our teachers and children, and learn more about the program! Visits are usually scheduled between 9:15–11:15am on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
