Missions & Outreach

These are the current serving areas available in the missions ministry. If you are interested in getting involved, please fill out the form below.

World Outreach Partnership at Tusculum Hills Baptist Church

Weekly opportunities exist to help local international families get to an appointment, sort the clothes closet, help students with homework, support the Children's Freedom Choir and many other tangible projects. Each of these service needs is an opportunity for gospel-centered friendship and allows the World Outreach Partnership Directors to invest more deeply in disciple-making relationships.

Local Ministry Partners

Serves with one of our ENGAGE Ministry Partners in our city as they minister to various segments of ministry in the name of Jesus. The spectrum of ministry ranges from homelessness to addiction recovery to crisis pregnancy to refugee resettlement. Visit fhbc.org/ministries/missions for a description of each of these.

Ministry to Refugees and International Families

Connects directly with an international family to cultivate a long-term relationship where the gospel can be shared as Christ's love can be shown through purposeful friendship.

Legacy Mission Village

Volunteers are needed to serve as mentors, career speakers and general volunteers with the Journey after-school program at Overton High School.

Room in the Inn Ministry

Provides the gift of hospitality during the winter months to men of Nashville’s homeless community through the citywide Room in the Inn ministry.

Tusculum Elementary School

We need tutors and general classroom support to serve at Tusculum Elementary School.

Mission Engagements

Serves in a short-term capacity alongside our church planters and missionaries across the US and around the world. Service opportunities vary each year based on the needs of our partners and are typically announced in the fall of each year. (Application and Mission Engagement 101 Training required)

Career Missionary Service / Church Planting

If the Lord is possibly calling you to be a full-time missionary, we have incredible contacts and service pathways through our cooperative support of the International Mission Board and North American Mission Board.

Disaster Relief

The Disaster Relief team responds to people's needs and recovery after a natural disaster. The Forest Hills team is trained and ready to respond with chainsaw, clean-up and flood-recovery teams. We minister locally, as well as cooperate with Tennessee Baptist Disaster Relief, to respond to state and national disasters. Contact Steve Brock at stevebrock0@gmail.com for more information.
