Led by Julie Garrison
Wednesdays beginning August 11
10-11:30am  |  C101  |  $20 for book/participant guide

Christians can easily feel that Jesus is perpetually disappointed and frustrated, maybe even close to giving up on them. They know what Christ has done for them―but who is he? How does he feel about his people amid all their sins and failures? In this study, we will dive into Bible passages that speak of Christ’s affections for sinners and that encourage believers as they journey, weary and falter toward heaven.

God of Deliverance: A Study of Exodus 1-18
Led by Jenna Pautienus & Courtney Mize
Wednesdays beginning August 11
10-11:30am  |  C100  |  $15
Homework

The exodus of the Israelites shapes our understanding of the whole Bible, its themes reverberating all the way to Revelation. Exodus is the birth narrative of a nation unmistakably guided by the Great Deliverer. In this stud, Jen Wilkin shows us that Israel’s story is our story: the same God who delivered Israel also delivers all those he loves from slavery to sin and from service to the pharaohs of this world. He lifts our eyes to the promised land he has prepared where we dwell with and worship him as the one true God.

Homework

No one plans to wrestle with their identity in Christ, to struggle to love others, to feel lonely, or to feel helpless. Yet we often find ourselves in these seasons, struggling to embrace the gospel hope we need to fill our discouraged souls. In every changing season of life, we can rest in God’s character, rehearse our identity in Christ, respond in faith, and remember God’s provision for us. In today’s culture, there’s no shortage of self-help, easy fixes, and worldly advice, but only in the truth of God’s Word that is meant to fill you up and satisfy you fully.
