1. Giving Tithes & Offerings Through our Church Operating Budget

10% of the church's gross receipts are sent directly to the Southern Baptist Convention’s Cooperative Program in addition to other ministry endeavors funded through the missions portion of the church operating budget.

International Mission Board (IMB)

The International Mission Board is the largest missionary sending agency in the world. The IMB has more than 3,800 missionaries serving abroad and, through our Cooperative Program receipts, is able to fully fund their positions so missionaries don't spend time with personal fund raising. We also designate 80% of our annual GO Missions Offering directly to the IMB.

2. Giving to our GO Missions Offering

Southern Baptist churches have traditionally given to designated offerings around Christmas and Easter that directly support the IMB and NAMB. FHBC has combined these into one designated offering that is received year round and funds these and other entities.

The GO Missions Offering breaks down as follows:

  • 80% — International Mission Board
  • 10% — North American Mission Board
  • 8% — Tennessee Baptist Convention's Golden State Missions
  • 2% — Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home

3. Giving to our Missions Endowment Fund

You can give to this fund at any time, and it is disbursed annually to help accomplish the missions strategy of FHBC (as set by our Missions Committee). This is an ideal place to give large, one-time gifts. As the principle balance continues to grow, your gift will continue to give as time advances.
