Giving is more than supporting a budget—it’s a way we invest together in God’s work through our church. When you give, you’re participating in lives being changed, disciples being made, and the gospel being carried locally and globally.
Your generosity fuels ministry, creates opportunities for people to encounter Jesus, and allows our church to respond faithfully wherever God leads.
"Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
Matthew 28:19-20

The General Fund supports the everyday ministry and mission of our church. Through these gifts, we are able to carry out the work God has called us to—week in and week out—by funding the ministries and operations that serve our church family and community.
Contributions to the General Fund make possible our regular worship gatherings, discipleship ministries for all ages, pastoral care, outreach efforts, and the ongoing operational needs of the church. From staffing and resources to facilities and ministry support, this fund enables the steady, faithful work of ministry that often happens behind the scenes but impacts lives every day.
By giving to the General Fund, you are investing in the ongoing life of the church and helping create an environment where people can encounter Christ, grow in faith, and be sent out to live on mission.

The GO Missions Fund reflects our church’s heart to follow Jesus’ call to go and make disciples—across the street and around the world. This unified fund brings together our traditional Christmas and Easter missions offerings into one shared opportunity to support mission work throughout the year.
Through the GO Missions Fund, we partner with Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) and Tennessee Baptist Mission Board (TBMB) efforts to advance the gospel locally, nationally, and globally. These gifts help support missionaries, church planters, disaster relief, compassion ministries, evangelism efforts, and other strategic missions initiatives.
By giving to the GO Missions Fund, you are joining in God’s work beyond our walls—helping share hope, meet needs, and proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ. Your generosity allows our church to respond faithfully and effectively wherever God opens doors for ministry.

The Building Fund exists to support the ongoing care and future development of our church facilities. These resources allow us to maintain our buildings, address essential improvements, and prepare for potential expansion as our church continues to grow.
By investing in the Building Fund, you are helping create spaces where people can gather to worship, learn, connect, and experience the love of Christ. Your giving enables us to plan responsibly for the future while remaining ready for the opportunities God places before us.
IT'S ALL HIS
God is the owner of all things and the generous giver of every good gift. Everything we have comes from His hand, making us grateful recipients and entrusted stewards of what He provides. When we live with this perspective, generosity becomes a natural response—using what God has given us to do good, bless others, and invest in what lasts forever.
Scripture:
1 Timothy 6:17–19; Psalm 24:1–2
WE INVEST IN ETERNITY
What we do with what God has entrusted to us reveals the true condition of our hearts. The things of this world rise and fall, but investing our time, talent, and treasure in God’s kingdom has eternal impact.
Jesus taught that where our treasure is, our heart will be also. When we give generously, serve faithfully, and use our gifts for God’s glory, we align our hearts with what matters most. Every act of generosity—every dollar given, every hour served, every gift used—becomes an investment in eternity.
An eternal perspective helps us see present opportunities through the lens of forever. As we support missions, care for those in need, make disciples, and build up the church, we are investing in lives and a kingdom that will never fade.
Scripture:
Matthew 6:19–21; 1 Timothy 6:17–19; 2 Corinthians 4:18
GIVING IS A GIFT
For the believer, giving is not a burden—it’s a blessing. We don’t just have to give; we get to give. When generosity moves from obligation to opportunity, our hearts shift from duty to delight.
Scripture shows us that giving is an act of worship and a response to God’s grace. Like the early church and the believers Paul commended, we give cheerfully and freely because God gave first. In doing so, generosity loosens our grip on material things, draws us into God’s work, and allows us to experience the joy and power of His grace at work in and through us.
It truly is more blessed to give than to receive.
Scripture:
Acts 20:35; 2 Corinthians 9:7; Acts 2:44–45; 2 Corinthians 8–9
WE GIVE OUR BEST FIRST
Generosity begins with priority giving—offering God our first and best, not what’s left over. From the beginning, God has invited His people to bring firstfruits—gifts that are intentional, worshipful, and rooted in trust.
Scripture reminds us that true generosity is not measured by amount, but by surrender. King David refused to offer God a sacrifice that cost him nothing, and Jesus praised the widow whose small gift reflected complete devotion. Both understood that giving is an act of worship that places God first.
When we give our best first, we declare that God is greater than fear, scarcity, and self-reliance. Priority giving aligns our hearts, shapes our trust, and positions us to experience God’s faithful provision as we place what we have in His hands.
Scripture:
Proverbs 3:9; Mark 12:41–44; 2 Samuel 24:24; Luke 6:38; Malachi 3:7–11
WHEN WE GIVE, THE GOSPEL GOES
Generosity is one of the primary ways God advances His mission in the world. Every gift given at Forest Hills Baptist Church helps send missionaries, plant churches, care for the vulnerable, and share the gospel—locally and globally. Through generosity, God’s name is made known among all nations.
God has uniquely placed each of us here, with the resources and opportunities we have, to participate in His redemptive work. Our giving is about more than sustaining ministry—it’s about seeing lives transformed, hope restored, and the gospel proclaimed. When we give, we join God in pushing back darkness and expanding His kingdom.
The early church’s generosity fueled a movement that spread the gospel across the world, and God continues to work the same way today. As we give faithfully and joyfully, God multiplies our gifts and uses them to advance the gospel across our city and to the ends of the earth. When we give, the gospel goes.
Scripture:
Matthew 28:19–20; Acts 2:47; Romans 10:14–15; Philippians 4:15–19
