Campus Master Plan

The Campus Master Plan is designed to make room for the people God is already sending us by addressing the limits we've reached and those we can see ahead. Simply put, we’re out of space in the places that matter most: From 2022 to 2025, worship attendance at our venues grew by 7% to 19%. In 2025, the Sanctuary averaged 82% of capacity, while the ELEVATE Worship Center averaged 76%. Sunday Groups averaged 871 attendees, with only two classrooms available.

It isn't either/or — our commitment to local, national, and international missions and church planting hasn't changed. The plan addresses limits that already affect how well we disciple and send people, and a church that can't fit the people God is sending it has fewer people to send!

Two things, both in May 2025: (1) Campus Master Plan as our roadmap for the campus, and (2) authority for the Elders to engage an architect (Visioneering Studios) and a generosity consultant (Generis). That vote did not approve any construction, a capital campaign, or any financial commitment. Each of those comes to the church as a separate vote.

The big pieces are the same. Since the May 2025 vote, the Elders have engaged Visioneering and Generis as authorized, and their work on design, cost, phasing, and giving capacity is what shapes the Phase 1 recommendation coming November 1.

Outside construction experts told us that renovating or expanding the Sanctuary is financially impractical and enlarging the ELEVATE Worship Center would create significant operational problems. A single larger venue lets both services grow while keeping their distinct styles, and it's the better use of money.

Yes, but the cost per space, ongoing maintenance, and the challenge of moving traffic in and out of our site all weighed against it. The surface-lot expansion in the plan, about 180 new spaces for a total near 780, is expected to meet our needs as we grow.

Visioneering developed the Campus Master Plan with the Long-Range Planning Team and offers strategy, design, and construction management under one roof. Our design-build agreement makes Visioneering responsible for both plans and construction, with costs developed alongside the design so the church sees realistic estimates before approval. Staying with the firm that created the plan also avoids paying another firm to relearn it.

A generosity consultant helps churches think biblically about giving and, if / when the time comes, plan and lead a capital campaign. Generis, the firm we've engaged, has more than 35 years of experience with churches and treats generosity as a matter of discipleship rather than fundraising.

Through a capital campaign, guided by Generis and built on this church family's giving capacity. A funding plan will come to the church alongside the Phase 1 recommendation on November 1. If approved, everyone will be invited to pray and give as the Lord leads — no one will be pressured — and the church will not take on debt without a specific vote to approve it.
