Pastor Jay's Mid-Week Memo – January 25, 2023

Dear Church family,

I hope your week is going well! I’m away from the office this week and could not do a video, but wanted to get a message to you because so many wonderful things are happening at Forest Hills right now!

Looking back to Sunday, we can celebrate an incredible time of worship in both services and so much more! The Holy Spirit moved powerfully among us during and after both services. I’m convinced a big reason why He is moving so evidently is because so many are praying fervently. We had lots of guests, several key decisions for Christ, and people eager to connect in Sunday School classes in all ages. God is moving – can’t wait to see how He will move this Sunday!

Our midweek discipleship opportunities are in full swing with Wednesday nights cranking back up last week, plus all the other studies and groups happening throughout the week. The energy across campus was off the charts last week as people of all ages gathered to grow in Christ! In fact, 100 more people engaged in discipleship classes/groups last week than the same time a year ago. Praise God! I hope you’ll be there tonight – it’s not too late to join a class. You’ll be glad you did!

Make sure our Night of Prayer and Worship on February 5 is on your calendar. We’ll gather at 4:00pm for what will be a powerful night as we formally conclude our 28 Days of Prayer emphasis by crying out to God for restoration and renewal in us, in our city, in our nation, and among the nations. We desperately need God to move, so join us as we seek Him in prayer and worship.

Each week, there are so many things to celebrate and look forward to. Each week I am reminded that is a gift that we should not take for granted. God is uniquely and powerfully moving among us, so let’s thank Him, seek Him, and eagerly join Him in how He is leading us forward!

Love you, church family, and I will see you soon.

You Are Sent,

Pastor Jay
