Giving

The three main avenues for giving to missions at Forest Hills are the Cooperative Program of the Southern Baptist Convention, the FHBC Missions Endowment Fund, and the Annual Combined Missions Offering.

Forest Hills Baptist Church encourages the congregation to give to missions directly sponsored by the church. This includes supporting members who participate in short-term mission projects and organizations that we intentionally support.

Organizations Supported by FHBC

HopeHouse International
HopeHouse exists so that Orphans can become adopted by helping Ukrainian Christian couples with adequate housing, thus making them eligible by their Government to adopt three or more children.

Samaritan’s Purse/Operation Christmas Child
Samaritan's Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Since 1970, Samaritan's Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God's love through His Son, Jesus Christ. The organization serves the Church worldwide to promote the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Operation Christmas Child is a nationwide project sponsored by Samaritan’s Purse, a division of the ministry of Franklin Graham. Shoe boxes are filled with gifts for boys and girls in third world, war zoned areas. Franklin Graham and his team take the boxes to the children in these areas. Children are so excited to receive a special gift and hear about the greatest gift ever given through the birth of Jesus Christ. Each box will be filled with toys, school supplies, hygiene items and $7 for shipping.

Forest Hills is a strong supporter of Samaritan’s Purse/Operation Christmas child project. Our children’s missions groups challenge the entire congregation to participate. We have a special dedication during the morning worship services in late November at the end of the collection period.
